LoongArch: BPF: Fix off-by-one error in tail call
The current code updates the tail call counter (TCC) using a pre-increment
approach, it stores the incremented value back to memory before performing
any boundary or target validation checks.
This causes two major issues:
1. When a tail call fails because the target program is NULL, the TCC is
incorrectly incremented and saved in memory anyway.
2. This dummy increment implicitly consumes one slot of the allowed tail
call budget. As a result, the subsequent loop reaches the maximum limit
prematurely, leading to a test failure where the actual loop count is
32 instead of the expected 33.
Fix this by deferring the counter update. Change the branch condition to
BPF_JSGE (greater or equal) so that we check the boundary first. The TCC
is only incremented and stored back to memory after the boundary check
and the NULL-target check both pass.

LoongArch: Fix missing dirty page tracking in {pte,pmd}_wrprotect()
When hardware page table walker (PTW) is enabled on LoongArch, the CPU
may set _PAGE_DIRTY directly in the page table entry during a write TLB
miss, without going through the software TLB store handler. The software
TLB store handler (tlbex.S:254) sets both _PAGE_DIRTY and_PAGE_MODIFIED
together:
ori t0, t0, (_PAGE_VALID | _PAGE_DIRTY | _PAGE_MODIFIED)
Since hardware PTW only sets _PAGE_DIRTY, the software-only bit, i.e.
_PAGE_MODIFIED is left unchanged. This creates a window where a PTE has
_PAGE_DIRTY set (hardware knows the page is dirty) but _PAGE_MODIFIED
clear (software is unaware).
When fork()/clone() triggers copy-on-write, __copy_present_ptes() calls
pte_wrprotect(), which unconditionally clears both the _PAGE_WRITE and
_PAGE_DIRTY bits:
pte_val(pte) &= ~(_PAGE_WRITE | _PAGE_DIRTY);
Since _PAGE_MODIFIED was never set, the dirtiness information is lost
completely. Subsequently, when memory pressure triggers page reclaim,
page_mkclean() / try_to_unmap() sees the page as clean (i.e. pte_dirty()
returns false) and the page may be freed without writeback, causing data
corruption.
Fix this by propagating the _PAGE_DIRTY bit to the _PAGE_MODIFIED bit in
both pte_wrprotect() and pmd_wrprotect() before clearing writeable bits:
if (pte_val(pte) & _PAGE_DIRTY)
pte_val(pte) |= _PAGE_MODIFIED;
The pmd_wrprotect() fix handles the CONFIG_TRANSPARENT_HUGEPAGE case,
where pmd entries need the same treatment.
This ensures the software dirty tracking bit (checked by pte_dirty() and
pmd_dirty(), which read both the _PAGE_DIRTY and _PAGE_MODIFIED bits) is
preserved across fork COW write-protection.
The issue was found by the LTP madvise09 test case, which exercises page
reclaim after "madvise(MADV_FREE), write and fork" operation sequence on
private anonymous mappings.

LoongArch: Report dying CPU to RCU in stop_this_cpu()
This is a port of MIPS commit 9f3f3bdc6d9dac1 ("MIPS: smp: report dying
CPU to RCU in stop_this_cpu()"). smp_send_stop() parks all secondary
CPUs in stop_this_cpu(). And the function marks the CPU offline for the
scheduler via set_cpu_online(false) but never informs RCU, so RCU keeps
expecting a quiescent state from CPUs that are now spinning forever with
interrupts disabled.
As long as nothing waits for an RCU grace period after smp_send_stop()
this is harmless, which is why it went unnoticed. However, since commit 91840be8f710370 ("irq_work: Fix use-after-free in irq_work_single() on
PREEMPT_RT"), irq_work_sync() calls synchronize_rcu() on architectures
without an irq_work self-IPI, i.e. where arch_irq_work_has_interrupt()
returns false. Any irq_work_sync() issued in the reboot/shutdown/halt
path after smp_send_stop() then blocks on a grace period that can never
complete, hanging the reboot:

the generic CPU-hotplug offline path, so RCU stops waiting on the parked

LoongArch: Add THREAD_INFO_IN_TASK implementation
Like other architectures such as x86, arm64, riscv, powerpc and s390,
select THREAD_INFO_IN_TASK for LoongArch to move thread_info off the
stack into task_struct. This follows modern kernel standards and also
makes the system more secure.
With this patch, thread_info is included in task_struct at an offset
of 0 instead of being placed at the bottom of the kernel stack. Thus,
the $tp register points to both thread_info and task_struct.
To support this, introduce a per-CPU variable cpu_tasks to store the
pointer to the current task_struct. This decouples the recovery of the
$tp register from the stack pointer during exception entry.
Then initialize cpu_tasks for the primary and secondary CPUs during
arch-specific setup and SMP boot paths. To eliminate the dangerous
windows during the early initialization where the cpu_tasks remains
uninitialized, set_current() is invoked as early as possible in both
setup_arch() and start_secondary(). This ensures the $tp recovery
barrier is armed in case any early boot exceptions or kernel panics
occur.
Modify SAVE_SOME and handle_syscall to restore the $tp register from
cpu_tasks, and also use the la_abs absolute addressing for cpu_tasks
access in assembly to bypass the relocation limits within exception
handling sections. By advancing the preservation of u0 in SAVE_SOME,
we reuse the PERCPU_BASE_KS value in u0 for the cpu_tasks calculation,
effectively eliminating a duplicate csrrd instruction execution on SMP
platforms.
Update <asm/switch_to.h> and <kernel/switch.S> to fully support the
CONFIG_THREAD_INFO_IN_TASK feature.
Remove the obsolete next_ti argument from __switch_to(), which shifts
the remaining arguments ahead in the calling convention (sched_ra from
a3 to a2, and sched_cfa from a4 to a3). Under the new configuration,
__switch_to() now directly derives the thread pointer ($tp) from the
next task_struct pointer in a1.
To preserve the optimal and clean "move tp, a1" path for 64-bit kernels,
the thread pointer ($tp) is assigned directly from a1 in the core path.
For 32-bit kernels, where a1 carries a 2000-byte structural pointer bias
at entry, an explicit adjustment "PTR_ADDI tp, tp, -TASK_STRUCT_OFFSET"
is introduced at the function exit.
In the context of __switch_to(), local interrupts are disabled, and the
kernel is in a critical switching phase where handling any synchronous
exception is practically impossible and prohibited.
If any synchronous exception or watchpoint does trigger in this narrow
window, it constitutes a fatal double fault and the kernel is expected
to die/panic immediately anyway. Therefore, the temporary biased value
in $tp is safe and acceptable here.
Additionally, evaluate the stack lookup as a single load instruction
"LONG_LPTR t0, a1, (TASK_STACK - TASK_STRUCT_OFFSET)", this perfectly
satisfies both 32-bit and 64-bit kernels. Using the "next" pointer in
a1 as the base register, rather than $tp, effectively unchains the data
dependency (RAW hazard) from the preceding move instruction, maximizing
the instruction-level parallelism and superscalar execution efficiency
while naturally adapting the structural shift.
With CONFIG_THREAD_INFO_IN_TASK enabled, the kernel stack life cycle is
decoupled from task_struct and can be freed concurrently.
Currently, show_stacktrace() reads raw stack data via __get_addr() and
subsequently calls show_backtrace() to unwind the frame, without holding
any reference to the target task's stack. If show_stacktrace() is called
on a concurrently exiting task, it could attempt to read from a freed or
reallocated kernel stack. This introduces a severe use-after-free (UAF)
read risk or kernel panics.
Wrap the entire stack inspection process inside show_stacktrace() with
a try_get_task_stack() and put_task_stack() pair. This ensures the task
stack remains pinned safely during both the raw stack data dump loop and
the subsequent stack unwinding phase.
Also, ensure that the task pointer is initialized to "current" early if
it is NULL, so that try_get_task_stack() always operates on a valid task
reference.

Adding new BPF_F_UPROBE_MULTI_PATH_FD flag and the path_fd field for
the attr.link_create.uprobe_multi struct.
When the flag is set, we resolve the target from path_fd, without the

I don't see a use case for supporting O_PATH file descriptors, because
we need to read the binary first to get probes offsets, so I'm using
the CLASS(fd, f), which fails for O_PATH fds.

Resolve the uprobe_multi user path with user_path_at() instead of copying

selftests/bpf: Add arena direct-value one-past-end reject test
BPF_MAP_TYPE_ARENA supports direct-value pseudo loads, but unlike array
maps its map value_size is zero and the valid direct-value range is the
arena mmap size, max_entries * PAGE_SIZE.
Commit 3ac1a467e376 ("bpf: Fix off-by-one boundary validation in arena
direct-value access") fixed arena_map_direct_value_addr() to reject an
offset exactly at the end of the arena mapping. Add a regression test
that loads a BPF_PSEUDO_MAP_VALUE with off == arena_size and verifies
that the verifier rejects it with the expected offset in the log.
This is intentionally kept as a userspace raw-instruction test. I tried
expressing the same BPF_PSEUDO_MAP_VALUE + off == arena_size case in
verifier_arena.c with inline assembly. The only form that produces the
desired instruction bytes uses __imm_addr(arena), but that emits
R_BPF_64_NODYLD32, which the libbpf/bpftool link step rejects. Other
register, immediate, and memory constraints either fail in the BPF
backend or lower to a normal R_BPF_64_64 load followed by an ALU add,
which does not exercise arena_map_direct_value_addr() with the boundary
offset in the second ldimm64 slot.
A legacy test_verifier fixture can express the raw instruction directly,
but it needs arena map creation, mmap, and fixup plumbing in the legacy
runner. That is more intrusive than the small prog_tests raw-instruction
test.
Use the userspace raw-instruction test, following the existing selftests
pattern used for direct map-value pseudo loads, so insns[1].imm can be
set to arena_size precisely.

rqspinlock: Fix order in raw_res_spin_(un)lock_irq to allow schedule
raw_res_spin_unlock_irqrestore() calls raw_res_spin_unlock() and then
restores interrupts, this means preemption is enabled when interrupts
are still disabled (as part of raw_res_spin_unlock()) so this cannot
trigger an actual preemption.
This is inconsistent with other spinlock implementations
(raw_spin_unlock_irqrestore() and bpf_res_spin_unlock_irqrestore()
itself).
Adjust the macro to ensure interrupts are enabled before enabling
preemption, allowing to schedule at that point. Make the same
modification in the error path of raw_res_spin_lock_irqsave().

bpf: Fix setting retval to -EPERM for cgroup hooks not returning errno
This series fixes the issue reported by sashiko in [1]. The issue is that,
when a cgroup BPF program exits with 0, bpf_prog_run_array_cg() sets
the hook return value to -EPERM if it is not a valid errno. This is
correct for errno-based hooks, which return 0 on success and negative
errno on failure, but wrong for void and boolean LSM hooks. Boolean
LSM hooks should only return true or false, and void LSM hooks have
no return value at all.
Fix it by skipping setting -EPERM for hooks not returning errno.

Generic XDP devmap multi redirect can leave cloned skbs sharing packet
data. When a devmap egress program mutates packet data, another
destination sharing the same data may observe that mutation.
Fix this by making cloned skbs private before running the generic devmap
egress program. The private copy is made in dev_map_generic_redirect()
so dev_map_bpf_prog_run_skb() can keep returning the XDP action directly.
Add selftest coverage for the last-destination case, where the final
destination runs on the original skb while earlier destinations use
cloned skbs. The test records the source MAC observed by an earlier
destination and checks that it is neither the sentinel value left in the
result map nor the MAC written by the final destination.
---
v5:
- Move the skb_copy() check back to dev_map_generic_redirect() to keep
dev_map_bpf_prog_run_skb() returning only the XDP action.
- Preserve mac_len after skb_copy().
- Use __be64 temporary values when updating mac_map from userspace.
- Initialize rx_mac with a sentinel in the last-destination test instead
of relying on -ENOENT for ARRAY map lookups.
- Adjust the last-destination test topology so the checked earlier
destination is not the ingress/source veth.
- Split the last-destination check into two assertions: one for store_mac_1
updating rx_mac and one for detecting last-destination rewrite leakage.
v4: https://lore.kernel.org/bpf/20260611080850.536996-1-sun.jian.kdev@gmail.com/T/#mf830f03d362f33e0941d1b0e425169698fce76e5
- Preserve mac_len after skb_copy().
- Separate errno return from XDP action output in
dev_map_bpf_prog_run_skb().
- Zero-initialize net_config in the new selftest.
v3: https://lore.kernel.org/bpf/20260611043317.512843-1-sun.jian.kdev@gmail.com/
- Split the kernel fix and selftest into separate patches.
- Move the private-copy logic into dev_map_bpf_prog_run_skb().
- Use deterministic DEVMAP_HASH keys in the last-destination selftest.
- Fix the Fixes tag.
v2: https://lore.kernel.org/bpf/08c35c70-a59e-4e0e-91db-22b5ec30b611@linux.dev/
- Move the private-copy step into dev_map_generic_redirect() so the
last-destination path is covered as well.
- Use skb_copy() instead of skb_unshare() to keep caller ownership
unchanged on allocation failure.
- Add a generic XDP last-destination selftest case.
Strengthen xdp_veth_egress to check that each destination observes the
MAC selected for its own egress ifindex, instead of only checking that
the observed MAC differs from a single magic value.
Add a generic XDP last-destination test where an earlier destination does
not have a devmap egress program while the final destination does. This
covers the case where the final destination runs on the original skb and
could otherwise rewrite packet data still shared with an earlier cloned
skb.
Use deterministic DEVMAP_HASH keys for the egress map so the intended
last destination is stable. Initialize the result map with a sentinel
value and check that store_mac_1 overwrites it before checking that the
earlier destination did not observe the MAC written by the final
destination.

bpf: Run generic devmap egress prog on private skb
Generic XDP devmap multi redirect uses skb_clone() for intermediate
destinations and sends the last destination with the original skb. This
can leave multiple destinations sharing the same packet data.
This becomes visible after generic devmap egress-program support was
added: a devmap egress program may mutate packet data, and another
destination sharing the same data can observe that mutation.
Native XDP broadcast redirect does not have this issue because
xdpf_clone() copies the frame data for each destination. Generic XDP
should provide the same per-destination isolation before running a
devmap egress program.
Fix this by making cloned skbs private before running the generic devmap
egress program. Use skb_copy() instead of skb_unshare() so allocation
failure does not consume the skb and the existing caller error paths keep
their ownership semantics.

ASoC: SDCA: fix NULL pointer dereference in sdca_dev_unregister_functions
sdca_dev_unregister_functions() iterates over all SDCA function
descriptors and calls sdca_dev_unregister() on each func_dev without
checking for NULL. When a function registration has failed partway
through, or the device cleanup races with probe deferral, func_dev
entries may be NULL, leading to a kernel oops:
This was observed on a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon G14 (Panther Lake)
with the SOF audio driver probe failing due to missing Panther Lake
firmware, causing the subsequent cleanup of SoundWire devices to
trigger the crash.
Fix this with three changes:
1) Add a NULL guard in sdca_dev_unregister() so that callers do not
need to pre-validate the pointer (defense in depth).
2) In sdca_dev_unregister_functions(), skip NULL func_dev entries
and clear func_dev to NULL after unregistration, making the
function idempotent and safe against double-invocation.
3) In sdca_dev_register_functions(), roll back all previously
registered functions when a later one fails, so the function
array is never left in a partially-populated state.

ARM: 9476/1: mm: fix kexec and hibernation with CONFIG_CPU_TTBR0_PAN
Commit 7af5b901e847 ("ARM: 9358/2: Implement PAN for LPAE by TTBR0
page table walks disablement") implemented PAN for LPAE kernels by
setting TTBCR.EPD0 on every kernel entry, disabling TTBR0 page-table
walks while running in kernel mode. The commit correctly updated
cpu_suspend() in arch/arm/kernel/suspend.c, but missed two other code
paths that switch the CPU to the identity mapping before jumping to
low-PA (TTBR0-range) physical addresses:
1. setup_mm_for_reboot() in arch/arm/mm/idmap.c, used by the kexec
reboot path. With TTBCR.EPD0 still set, the subsequent branch to
the identity-mapped cpu_v7_reset causes a PrefetchAbort because the
TTBR0 page-table walk needed to resolve the identity-mapped address
is disabled. This manifests as a hard hang or "bad PC value" panic
on LPAE kernels booted on CPUs that strictly enforce EPD0 for
instruction fetch (e.g. Cortex-A53 in AArch32 mode) while the same
image may accidentally work on Cortex-A15 due to microarchitectural
differences in EPD0 enforcement.
2. arch_restore_image() in arch/arm/kernel/hibernate.c, which calls
cpu_switch_mm(idmap_pgd, &init_mm) directly without going through
setup_mm_for_reboot(), leaving TTBCR.EPD0 set while the identity
mapping is active.
Fix both sites by calling uaccess_save_and_enable() before switching
to the identity mapping, mirroring what the original commit did for
cpu_suspend().

Commit 44e9a3bb76e5 ("ARM: 9430/1: entry: Do a dummy read from

__switch_to(). The read uses ldr, but the KASAN shadow address is
byte-granular and is not guaranteed to be word aligned.
ARMv5 faults unaligned word loads. With CONFIG_KASAN_VMALLOC and
CONFIG_VMAP_STACK enabled, ARM926/VersatilePB crashes in __switch_to()
with an alignment exception before reaching init.
Use ldrb for the dummy shadow access. The code only needs to fault in the
shadow mapping if the stack shadow is missing, so a byte load is sufficient
and matches the granularity of KASAN shadow memory.

ARM: 9474/1: io: avoid KASAN instrumentation of raw halfword I/O
For CPUs before ARMv6, __raw_readw() and __raw_writew() are implemented
as C volatile halfword accesses so the compiler can generate an access
sequence that is safe for those machines. With KASAN enabled, those C
accesses are instrumented as normal memory accesses.
That is not valid for MMIO. On ARM926/VersatilePB with KASAN enabled,
PL011 probing traps in __asan_store2() while registering the UART, because
the instrumented writew() tries to check KASAN shadow for an MMIO address.
Keep the existing volatile halfword access, but move the ARMv5 definitions
into __no_kasan_or_inline functions so raw MMIO halfword accesses are not
instrumented by KASAN. The ARMv6-and-newer inline assembly path is

drm/xe: fix job timeout recovery for unstarted jobs and kernel queues
A job that GuC never scheduled (never started) indicates a GuC
scheduling failure; previously such jobs were silently errored out
instead of triggering a GT reset to recover. Trigger a GT reset and
resubmit them, but only when the queue was not already killed or banned:
an unstarted job on an already banned queue is the ban working as
intended and must neither clear the ban nor kick off a reset, otherwise
a banned userspace queue could be resurrected and spam GT resets.
Kernel queues are always recovered this way and wedge the device once
recovery attempts are exhausted, since kernel work must not silently
fail. A started job that times out on a userspace VM bind queue stays
banned rather than being reset and retried.
The queue is banned early in the timeout handler to signal the G2H
scheduling-done handler so it wakes the disable-scheduling waiter;
without it the waiter sleeps the full 5s timeout. When a reset is
warranted the ban is cleared before rearming so that
guc_exec_queue_start() can resubmit jobs after the GT reset - a
still-banned queue would block resubmission and cause an infinite TDR
loop. The already-banned case is gated out before this point via
skip_timeout_check, so it is unaffected.
v2: (Himal) Do it for any queue type, not just kernel/migration
v3: - (Sashiko and Sanjay): don't clear the ban / GT reset for already
killed/banned queues on unstarted-job timeout

drm/xe: fix refcount leak in xe_range_fence_insert()
xe_range_fence_insert() acquires a reference on fence via
dma_fence_get() and stores it in rfence->fence. It then calls
dma_fence_add_callback() and handles two cases: when the callback
is successfully registered (err == 0) the fence is transferred to
the tree for later cleanup; when the fence is already signaled
(err == -ENOENT) it manually drops the extra reference with
dma_fence_put(fence).
However, dma_fence_add_callback() can fail with other errors
(e.g. -EINVAL) and in that case the code falls through to the free:
label without releasing the acquired reference, leaking it.
Fix the leak by adding an else branch that calls dma_fence_put()
before jumping to free: for any error other than -ENOENT.

octeontx2-af: fix IP fragment flag corruption on custom KPU profile load
npc_cn20k_apply_custom_kpu() overwrites KPU profile entries with custom

profile initialisation, entries not overridden by the custom firmware
get their flags translated twice, corrupting the CN20K-specific values.
Fix this by extracting the per-entry translation into a helper

The "invalid position" error occurred when the DMA position descriptor

when the addr is abnormal, for example,the DMA controller is abnormal in

the addr exceeding the DMA address range.the value of pos should not better
