From b0571d539e7917207c875138d16fb8e6274964ef Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: "Andries E. Brouwer" Date: Sun, 9 Nov 2003 16:50:35 -0800 Subject: [PATCH] [PATCH] Warn about old EZD and DM disk remappers Since 2.6.x by default does not remap the disk partitions any more, it would be a good idea to warn when we see EZD or DM signatures. That informs the user to fix his setup (or pass in "hdx=remap" on the kernel command line). --- fs/partitions/msdos.c | 4 ++++ 1 file changed, 4 insertions(+) diff --git a/fs/partitions/msdos.c b/fs/partitions/msdos.c index c5d3bd2d1cb14..3ed5cb52aa3f6 100644 --- a/fs/partitions/msdos.c +++ b/fs/partitions/msdos.c @@ -425,6 +425,10 @@ int msdos_partition(struct parsed_partitions *state, struct block_device *bdev) put_partition(state, slot, start, size); if (SYS_IND(p) == LINUX_RAID_PARTITION) state->parts[slot].flags = 1; + if (SYS_IND(p) == DM6_PARTITION) + printk("[DM]"); + if (SYS_IND(p) == EZD_PARTITION) + printk("[EZD]"); } printk("\n"); -- 2.53.0
